Since acquiring the former Mento’s Ice Cream operation in 2011, North Beach Cafe & Creamery has become a destination for homemade ice cream, breakfast, lunch and family dining in Ventnor City.
North Beach Cafe & Creamery is a family-owned restaurant and creamery located in Ventnor City, New Jersey. We serve breakfast, lunch, dinner, hand-stretched pizza, homemade baked goods, small-batch ice cream, water ice, specialty sundaes and milkshakes just steps from the beach.
Welcome to
It started with an untapped passion for hospitality, quality, and good food and an unlikely chance meeting. The new building provided an opportunity to bring the ice cream shop and the cafe under one roof, improving efficiency and their ability to service customers.
North Beach Cafe and Creamery is not only a haven for ice cream enthusiasts but also a coffee lover's dream. This delightful café serves up artisanal coffee alongside their decadent ice cream creations.
We are a full service cafe offering simple foods all day long. These include things like omelets, eggs, pancakes, french toast, breakfast sandwiches and wraps, it also includes salads, many sandwiches, burgers and dogs. In addition we are known for our excellent crab cakes which we serve as platters or sandwiches. We cook everything fresh on site from basic ingredients.
North Beach Cafe & Creamery continues a tradition of homemade desserts and ice cream that began with Mento’s Ice Cream, a Ventnor favorite that we acquired in 2011. Today, we proudly produce our own small-batch ice cream right here on the premises.
Many of the ingredients that go into our signature treats are prepared in-house. Agnes bakes our cookies, brownies, carrot cake, and waffles from scratch, while our creamery produces ice cream in a variety of classic and seasonal flavors throughout the year.
Making products ourselves allows us to focus on freshness, quality, and flavor. Whether you’re enjoying breakfast, lunch, dinner, a sundae, milkshake, or a scoop of ice cream, you’re experiencing food made with care in our Ventnor kitchen.
